　　To demonstrate the continuation of the Lei Feng spirit in the new era and encourage all league members and volunteers to follow in Lei Feng’s footsteps,we call for collective participation in promoting the project-based,standardized,precise,and socialized development of volunteer services.Through practical actions of caring for others,we aim to inherit and carry forward the Lei Feng spirit.To vigorously promote the Lei Feng spirit,guide the youth to actively engage in volunteer activities,practice the core values of socialism through concrete actions,and advance the regular organization of Lei Feng-themed volunteer activities,under the leadership of our college’s Party Committee,the Youth League Committee launched the thematic practice of"Learning from Lei Feng,Taking Action—Visiting the Liu Jiaying Veterans’Home."The event mobilized league member representatives and young volunteers to practice the Lei Feng spirit through real actions and promote the core values of socialism.

　　On the morning of March 4,the Youth League Committee organized all league members and young volunteers to visit the college’s Lei Feng Memorial Room.Through a systematic and comprehensive introduction to the real deeds of Comrade Lei Feng,the students were deeply moved,greatly inspiring their enthusiasm to learn and promote the Lei Feng spirit.By understanding Lei Feng’s true stories,they further embraced his spirit.

　　In the afternoon,they arrived at the Fengying Veterans’Home in Kai’an Town,Nong’an County.After a brief division of tasks,they began cleaning.The reporter observed that most students were visiting the veterans’home for the first time.Having just learned about the Lei Feng spirit during the morning visit to the memorial room,they eagerly competed to help sweep floors and wipe windows.Some students voluntarily approached the elderly,offering shoulder massages."This is my first time interacting with veterans.There’s a certain aura about them that deeply moves me—a feeling very similar to what I experienced during the Lei Feng Memorial Room visit in the morning.That’s why I was so eager to do more for them.They dedicated their youth to our happy lives,so we should give them more companionship in their later years!"said student Liu.

　　Through this event,our college’s Party Committee demonstrated its emphasis on inheriting the Lei Feng spirit,while the league members and volunteers showcased the traditional virtue of respecting and caring for the elderly,as well as their enthusiasm for promoting volunteerism.The volunteers expressed their willingness to participate in such activities more often in the future,doing their utmost to assist the elderly and bring them the warmth of a caring society.They also presented daily necessities such as rice,flour,and cooking oil to the veterans.
