In response to the national"Belt and Road"initiative and to strengthen international cooperation under the framework,on August 30,2019,Sun Jin,recipient of the National May Day Labor Medal,National Advanced Educator in Education,standing committee member of the Jilin Provincial People's Political Consultative Conference,and Chairman of SJ International Education Group,welcomed a delegation of officials from the Ministry of Tourism of Oman,including Mohammed Al Maqbali,General Manager of Gethor Group,and Ahmed Al-Abri,General Manager of GulfIbex Tourism Company.The two sides engaged in discussions on potential collaborations in international trade,3D printing technology,drone R&D and applications,artificial intelligence,satellite development and comprehensive applications,smart security,and the establishment of an international tourist resort in Oman.
Chairman Sun Jin extended a warm welcome to the delegation,emphasizing the long-standing friendship between China and Oman,which has spanned millennia and remains deeply rooted in the hearts of both peoples.Over the years,bilateral relations have steadily developed,yielding fruitful results in practical cooperation across various fields.Last May,on the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations,the two countries elevated their ties to a strategic partnership,ushering in a new historical phase.The signing of the Belt and Road cooperation document has further provided a new platform for expanding practical collaboration in multiple areas.
Chairman Sun Jin expressed his hope that through this exchange,they could explore plans to establish programs in emerging industries such as aerospace,drones,and artificial intelligence at Oman University,cultivating high-quality applied talents.Additionally,he proposed cooperation in satellite development and applications,smart security,3D printing technology,international trade,and international tourist resorts.He expressed willingness to work with relevant Omani parties to deepen exchanges and cooperation in tourism and education,while also welcoming friends from all sectors of Oman to visit China.
Chairman Sun Jin led Mohammed Al Maqbali and his delegation on a tour of the institute’s campus,including its scenic landscapes,library,auditorium,the satellite development base built in collaboration with Spacety Co.,Ltd.,and the intelligent robotics and drone training laboratories.Mohammed Al Maqbali was highly impressed by the institute’s spacious,clean,and aesthetically pleasing campus environment,as well as its advanced teaching facilities.
The delegation,together with Chairman Sun Jin,visited Spacety Co.,Ltd.in Beijing,where they discussed plans to jointly establish new media,aerospace,and intelligent robotics divisions,as well as further cooperation in satellite development and applications.They also visited Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co.,Ltd.
Mohammed Al Maqbali expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm hospitality of the institute’s leadership and sincerely hoped that SJ International Education Group and Oman could become lifelong friends.This visit laid a solid foundation for future Sino-Omani student exchanges and international cooperation in artificial intelligence,3D printing technology,drone R&D and applications,smart security,satellite development and applications,international trade,and tourism projects.In closing,he looked forward to the fruitful outcomes of their collaboration.
