In the crisp and refreshing golden autumn,a season of budding fruits.Today,Jilin City Vocational and Technical College grandly held the 2025 Freshman Military Training Results Report and Opening Ceremony.All faculty and students gathered to witness the growth and transformation of the new students and inaugurate a new chapter for the academic year.College leaders including Sun Jin,Chairman of the Board;Zhang Yuming,Secretary of the College Party Committee(Supervision Commissioner);Zhang Guohua,President;and Cheng Zidong,Vice President,attended the ceremony.Li Zhongjun,Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection,presided over the event.
The ceremony commenced with the solemn flag-raising ceremony,all attendees standing in silent tribute as the majestic national anthem resonated across the campus.Subsequently,the Military Training Regimental flag advanced towards the rising sun,marking the official start of the review of the troops and the march-past.The 2025 freshmen,clad in neat military attire,marched past the rostrum with vigorous and resolute steps,demonstrating their vibrant spirit and excellent military training results.During the special performance drill team display,the freshmen won rounds of applause with their skilled movements and high morale.
To commend excellence and set examples,the assembly announced the commendation orders for the advanced collectives and individuals of the 2025 student military training.Representatives from the outstanding drill teams,special performance drill teams,dormitory hygiene pacemakers,and training pacemakers came onto the stage to receive awards.Leaders presented honorary certificates to the awarded collectives and individuals,encouraging all freshmen to take the exemplars as benchmarks and continue to temper their will and character.
Following this,President Zhang Guohua read the decision on the commendation of the 2023-2024 National Scholarship and National Endeavor Scholarship recipients.Secretary Zhang Yuming read the decision on the commendation of the 2024-2025 Outstanding Students and Outstanding Student Cadres.The award-winning student representatives received their awards on stage amidst continuous applause,inspiring all students to take the awardees as role models,study diligently,and strive for progress.
Yu Shukai,a 2025 freshman representative from the School of Urban Services and Digital Technology,shared his reflections on military training and future plans,expressing his determination to adapt quickly to campus life and strive for growth and success.Sun Zheyuan,a senior student representative from the Class of 2024 from the School of Humanities and Media,encouraged the freshmen from a senior's perspective to cherish their campus time and push their limits through exploration.Liu Zhenbo,a teacher representative from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering,connecting with his educational初心,pledged to support student growth with enthusiasm and responsibility,garnering widespread recognition from teachers and students.
Finally,Chairman Sun Jin delivered a concluding speech.He fully affirmed the military training achievements of the 2025 freshmen,reviewed the college's recent developmental accomplishments in teaching,technical skills,moral education,and sports,and outlined a bright blueprint for the college's future development.He expressed expectations for all teachers regarding"Three Passions"and"Three Focuses,"and entrusted all students with the earnest advice to"achieve a successful life and support personal and era dreams with solid skills."His words were sincere,heartfelt,and inspiring.
